Out Of Hours Assistance

Please read the following information regarding what action to take in the event of an emergency outside of office hours:

Please check your welcome letter to see if your Landlord has British Gas Cover or an alternative maintenance contract. If this is the case, you will need to call them and not our emergency contractors. The 24 hour British Gas number is 0800 1077798.

A non-containable leak would be considered an emergency as would no hot water or heating for a period of 48 hours or more, fire, a major electrical fault or a burglary.

Please be aware, appliance engineers do not offer an out of hours service due to this not being considered an emergency.

IF YOU SMELL GAS:

Report this IMMEDIATELY to Transco – 0800 111999

IF YOU FIND SEWERAGE FROM THE DRAINS OUTSIDE THE PROPERTY:

Report to South East Water – 0333 000 0001

IN THE EVENT OF A LEAK:

If water continues to gush out after the water has been turned off at the mains or stop cock and cannot be contained, please contact C P Plumbing & Heating – 077944 363000. Advise that you are a Brook Gamble Tenant.

IN THE EVENT OF A MAJOR ELECTRICAL FAULT

Firstly check the fuse board hasn’t tripped. If it has – please reset the board. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, turn each plug socket off throughout the property and reset the fuse box once more, turning each socket then back on, one at a time. It is often the case that an appliance fault is causing the fuse to trip. It would also be prudent to check with neighbours in case there has been a power cut in the neighbourhood. If you still have a major electrical fault, call Ben Rahm of Digital Sparky – 07525 618706. Advise that you are a Brook Gamble Tenant.

Should you not be able to wait for our offices to open, Vince Manville of Fortress Locksmiths – 07538 379546 may be able to assist. Advise that you are a Brook Gamble Tenant.

If a contractor is called out unnecessarily or a problem is deemed not to be an emergency, you will be held responsible for all costs involved**
